1. Yarra Valley Dairy – A must visit!
This is a must-visit for cheese enthusiasts. They offer a range of artisan cheeses made on-site, including cow’s milk, goat’s milk, and sheep’s milk cheeses. Visitors can sample cheeses in their tasting room and also enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding vineyards. Yarra Valley Dairy also offers a fantastic selection of local wines too. 2. Cheesemonger Sophie
Sophie Cheesemonger in Healesville entices visitors with an enticing menu featuring a diverse selection of cheeses sourced locally and internationally. Indulge in creamy Camemberts, robust aged cheddars, and a variety of other artisanal cheeses expertly curated by Sophie herself. Whether you’re craving a classic cheese platter, a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, or a cheese tasting flight paired with fine wines, Sophie Cheesemonger offers a delectable experience sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate.
3. Coldstream Dairy
Coldstream Dairy produces a variety of high-quality cheeses, including soft cheeses, hard cheeses, and blue cheeses. The $25 cheese platters are a popular option! The dairy is conveniently located on the popular Maroondah highway just pass Domaine Chandon and almost directly opposite Oakridge Wines, so its a convenient option if you just want to pop in whilst driving through the Yarra Valley. Keep an eye out though, as it’s easy to drive past.

4. Medhurst Wines
Medhurst Wines is known for its boutique wines made with estate-grown grapes. They offer cheese platters at their cellar door, featuring a selection of local cheeses that pair beautifully with their wines. Medhurst has to be one of the most stunning cellar doors in the Yarra Valley and a fantastic choice for couples or small groups who want to relax and take in the ambiance of this stunning location. Medhurst is tucked away from the highway in Gruyere and well worth a visit.

5. Yileena Park
Yileena Park is a small boutique Cellar Door. The Winery and Vineyard is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley just one hour drive east of Melbourne. We specialise in premium Aged Red Wines, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to our aged red wines we produce Chardonnay and an unique style Merlot Rose.

6. Rochford Wines
Rochford Wines: Guided by one of Rochford Sommeliers, Wine Flights are the perfect way to master in the art of wine tasting. Guests will have a selection of wines (50ml per glass – total 200ml) paired with delicious dishes prepared by our Isabella’s chefs. A relaxed, fun and educational way to learn more about Rochford wines. Experience No.1 is $60 and offers a selection of three cheeses served with house made fruit paste, muscatels and lavosh.

Private Gourmet Tasting – $75pp
Minimum of 2 guests; maximum of 6 guests. Bookings are essential. Treat yourself to a truly decadent tasting at De Bortoli Yarra Valley Cellar Door. This privately hosted experience is set in our stunning Trophy Room or VIP Room, exploring the iconic wine varietals from the Yarra Valley region and beyond. Learn about winemaking techniques from vine to table and the story behind the De Bortoli family. All wines will be expertly matched with a fine selection of cheese. Allow one hour for your tasting experience which includes Single Vineyard and Premium wines, and a dedicated wine expert for the full hour.
