Explore Cape Schanck, Enjoy Wine & See The Penguin Parade

This tour is for those short on time in Melbourne but looking to experience the best of the Mornington Peninsula & Phillip Island in just one day. The tour departs Melbourne and heads to Cape Schanck & Bushrangers Bay where guests will enjoy epic coastal views of ancient volcanic rock formations and walk on the white sand of Bushrangers Bay & explore the rock pools. Post walk, we’ll take you to enjoy the region’s famous Pinot Noir at Point Leo Estate renowned for it’s wine and architecture before driving to Phillip Island so you can enjoy the world famous Penguin Parade.

Tour Departs

Russell Street Extension directly behind Federation Square at 8:30am on designated days. Please note it’s approximately 200m from Flinders Street Station.

Tour Returns

Melbourne at approx. 8:30pm (drop-off time depends on season as the Penguin Parade is at sunset and allow 2 hours return to Melbourne.

Minimum Group Size – 4

Maximum Group Size – 10 (private groups max size is 11)

Activity Level – The day involves approx. 8.5km of easy walking. Guests are encouraged to bring runners or hiking shoes for extra grip when exploring the rock pools.

Food – Fruit/Muesli bars are provided for the walk. For lunch guests will be given time to buy lunch from Merricks General Store which is a fantastic cafe that we’ll visit after tasting wine at Point Leo Estate. Guests can also choose to bring their lunch (Van has a fridge on board).

What to bring – Your day pack with water bottle, towel, hat, jacket, sunglasses and sunscreen. Please also bring a good pair of runners and a swim wear for the Peninsula Hot Springs. Also bring a warm jacket for the Penguin Parade.

Price – $160 per person (private groups please get in touch for a quote) Includes return transport from Melbourne, fruit & muesli bars, wine tasting fee and entrance to Phillip Island Penguin Parade.

Optional – During daylight savings period October to April, there is the opportunity to also visit Moonlit Sanctuary where you can meet kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, colourful birds, and pat a koala. From here we would them go on to visit the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island.
