Grampians Weekend Wine Tour
Whilst many people know the Grampians for it’s incredible National Park and scenery, the Grampians region is also one of Victoria’s premier wine regions producing fantastic cool climate Shiraz including Sparkling varieties which is Australia’s favourite festive drink. Other wines produced in this region include Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling and even some Italian varieties like Pinot Grigio.
Good Times Tours is offering a 2 Day Wine Weekend Tour of the Grampians wine region which is perfect for Melbourne based groups looking to get away for a weekend full of wine and amazing local produce.
Itineraries are flexible and custom designed to suit the groups tastes and budget however a sample itinerary is provided below –
Tour Duration – 2 Days
Tour Cost – $150 per person covers transport and wine tasting expenses. Good Times Tours will book accommodation, lunches and dinners according to the groups taste and budget.
Accommodation – Please note that Good Times Tours is setup to take groups camping and is able to provide tents, sleeping bags etc. so if the idea of sitting around a camp fire with a glass of Shiraz sounds appealing then this can be arranged. Otherwise there is a range of accommodation in Halls Gap to suit any requirements.
Pickup – Melbourne CBD & Metropolitan region and surround at 8am on Saturday morning
Dropoff – Approx. 7:30pm on the Sunday evening.
Minimum Guests – 6
Max. Guests – 11

Day 1 –
8:30am – Depart from Metropolitan Melbourne
11:00am – Tasting at Mount Langi Ghiran Winery
12:30pm – Lunch at Salingers Cafe in Great Western
2:00pm – Tour & tasting Great Western Seppelt exploring the largest underground cellars in the Southern Hemisphere.
3:30pm – Tasting at Grampians Estate
4:30pm – Tasting at Bests Winery and a tour of the underground cellar.
5:30pm – Check in to accommodation
7:00pm – Guests will be driven to dinner and taken back to accommodation at approx. 9:30pm.
11:00am – Tasting at Fratin Brothers Winery
12:00pm – Tasting at Montara Winery
1:00pm – Tasting at Clayfield Wines
2:00pm – Lunch at Red Rock Olives
3:00pm – Tasting at Halls Gap Estate
4:00pm – Return to Melbourne via a stop in Great Western or Ballarat
7:00pm – Dropoff at Melbourne address
